The Chubby Barstool is sized to tuck under higher bars or desks. Dirk’s philosophy of ornament as structure is most visible in the lanky barstool— no internal supports deceive the plastic’s surprising rigidity. Durability aside, the Chubby Barstool has appeased the entire Kooij office— relegating ergonomic swivel chairs to an unlit corner of the basement.
